This song won first place in the bluegrass category at "Winfield" in 2002 (or the Walnut Valley Festival, as it is also known) -- the oldest bluegrass festival in the country. This track has top notch bluegrass players on it -- Stuart Duncan on Fiddle, Matt Flinner on mandolin, Sally Van Meter on Dobro, Molly O'Brien on harmony, and more. It's one of those old-sounding new songs! To be released on a re-make of my first CD, which will now be called Walking in Dreamtime. As one listener commented after a live rendition of Sweet Janine at a bluegrass jam, "That song was an old friend before it was over."
